Our journey started during the pandemic when we noticed a significant gap in the Indian market for affordable designer furniture. With people spending a significant amount of time at home, it became evident that they desired a living space that was not only easy on the eyes but also offered functionality and a personal touch. Innovative Materials, Exceptional Designs

HDHMR Boards
HDHMR, or High-Density High Moisture Resistant, is a versatile, eco-friendly, and heavy-duty material that creates solid interior structures such as cabinets, counters, and wardrobes. This composite material is made by compressing hardwood particles through the adhesive to give it moisture resistance, making it ideal for spaces exposed to high moisture content, such as kitchens. It is also water-resistant and termite-proof, ensuring durability and longevity. The special glue used in its production ensures that the boards or sheets do not absorb water easily, preventing them from warping, breaking, or peeling even if they remain wet for some time. HDHMR is an ideal substrate for sharp cut and routed edges and has a uniform density gradient. This makes HDHMR an excellent alternative to traditional wood or plywood and is widely used in contemporary construction and furniture-making.

Veneers
An ultra-thin layer of wood, typically less than 4mm thick used to give your furniture an upscale finish. Veneers offer a versatile solution to enhance the appearance of various surfaces, including medium-density fiberboard, particle board, or wood. These thin sheets can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, such as doors, table tops, furniture, and parquet floors, to create a sophisticated and refined look. In woodworking, hardwood veneers are commonly used to achieve the appearance of solid wood without the hefty price tag. This involves bonding a thin slice of real hardwood to a more affordable substrate, such as plywood or particle board. The use of veneers allows for the creation of a high-end aesthetic at a more accessible price point. The result is that even the substrate appears to be an expensive type of wood.

It comes in various finishes, such as brushed and polished, allowing us to adapt its appearance to complement different furniture styles. This ensures that the stainless steel elements seamlessly integrate with your overall design aesthetic. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, 304 stainless steel is incredibly sturdy and resilient. This makes it an excellent choice for applications like custom wire baskets and other items that are exposed to demanding and high-impact conditions. It can withstand the test of time and maintain its structural integrity.

When comparing different stainless steel alloys, 304 stainless steel stands out due to its superior corrosion resistance. This is attributed to the presence of molybdenum, which enhances its ability to resist rust and withstand harsh environmental factors. To provide the best possible product, we use a high-quality PVD coating on our metal accents. PVD coating involves a vacuum deposition process in which one or more of the depositing species are evaporated or atomized from a solid source in the coating chamber. This coating process enhances the durability, aesthetics, and value of our furniture, making it resistant to heat, cold, pressure, and erosion. Our PVD coatings also come in optimized colors for consumer products, making it possible to adapt the appearance of the metal accents to that of the furniture. In addition, our PVD coatings are environmentally friendly, making them a safe and sustainable choice for furniture manufacturing.

Italian PU paint 
PU paint, or Polyurethane paint, is a hard, stretchable polymer pigment coating that provides a smooth and luxurious finish to wooden surfaces. Our Italian PU coating comes in matte and high gloss textures and is specially designed to protect your furniture from moisture. With its excellent film hardness and superior non-yellowing properties, our PU coating ensures your furniture maintains its original appearance for up to 15 years. At VIYOM Lifestyles, we use only the best quality PU paint supplied by ICA. We use a comprehensive approach to achieving the best finish using a 4-coat PU system with a sealer, base coat, primer, and clear coat. These additional coats help to create a more robust and long-lasting finish and improve the clarity of the final product.

Regularly attending Salone Del Mobile and the Milan Design Week (Fuorisalone) to keep in touch with ongoing trends that are ruling the interior industry is a part of his job.
